With this freezing weather, we are seeing lots of broken pipes.
Here are some quick tips:
- Keep your heat up to at least 60 degrees
- Insulate your pipes by keeping cabinets open to expose the plumbing to warm air
- If you are not going to be home, leave your faucet dripping. A slight drip will keep the water from freezing solid
- Beware – when it starts to warm up, if there is any kind of problem with your pipes, they always break on the warm-up cycle.
